|  | With their debut album Confidence, the Konstantin Kölmel Project brings a fresh breeze to the jazz scene. Somewhere between jazz, funk, and R&B, an innovative sound emerges that not only captivates but also appeals to the heart, mind, and soul – emotional, groovy, and full of spirit all at once.
The term Project could hardly be more fitting in this case – as many creative minds were involved in the making of this album. Nils Landgren is not only featured with his musical talents on two tracks but is also a close companion of Konstantin Kölmel – a fact that highlights the special character of this production. The band itself is made up of some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents on the European jazz scene: drummer and bandleader Konstantin Kölmel, saxophonist Nikola Bankov (Forbes “30 under 30”), singer Kilian Sladek (former Bundesjazzorchester), pianist Justin Zitt, guitarist Valentin Hansel, and bassist Paul Dupont. What unites them is a shared passion for a modern, accessible jazz sound that not only fascinates intellectually but also gets your feet dancing almost by themselves.
