|  | A vocal chord vibrates, the body resonates,and the scream is released, shakingeverything in its path.
"El Grito" (the scream), Cumbia Chicharra´s4th album, came like this, from the bottomof the heart and at full strength. Like anorgasm, a deliverance, a collective tranceor a clamor of resistance... a scream foreach stage of life.
The 8 musicians and the sound director ofthe band each have their own influencesand strong characters.
These new compositions were born bypatiently building their unity, theirunanimity and their musical complementarity.
Cumbia as an epicenter, and a wholeworld to amplify the sismicshakes :Caribbean, Andean, Afro-American ororiental music, the love of dance, the tasteof dub, rock, and electronics in a trance ofpercussion.
Each song claims its autonomy andlaunches bridges : oriental delirium (Chikilin,Polleromax), brassy hip hop (Amigo Publico), cumbia dubeither lascivous (Fugitivo) or shamanic(Grito Animal), percussion carnival (DiaMaldito!). And, as the central hub, thecumbia tipica of accordion or brass(GuatonFeliz, ¿Quienes?).
Since its first distributed album (2009),Cumbia Chicharra traces its fruitfulmusical path, to finally press it on a vinylrecord. "El Grito" will be the first CumbiaChicharra record to be released in thisformat as well.

Live act, which is both the driving forceand the group´s favorite playground, isfinally coming back this summer withmany shows and the official releaseconcerts in Marseille, Sept 17th, and inParis, Nov 18th.
