Awori was born in and grew in Kampala, Uganda. As a young girl, she witnesses the love her grandfather bears for music. Multi-instrumentalist with a strong penchant for the piano, she also starts her musical practice. Soon, she finds herself on stage singing religious songs (the only ones allowed).
After she joined her mother in Switzerland, she started taking Jazz singing lessons with Nicole Schoefe. At 18, she creates a duo with Juline Michel, called CaramelBrown, and later renamed Kami Awori. The duo produces 4 EPs and participates in many Swiss festivals.
A cover video on YouTube creates an encounter between Awori and the Berliner artist Dena, who she will accompany in a European tour.
Later, she meets the Senegalese-Swiss artist Thaïs Diarra, with whom she goes on a tour in Eastern Africa. She will be the opener for Blitz The Ambassador and Tiken Jah Fakoly

At the same time, he discovered the grand works of J Dilla and Flying Lotus, and produced his first beats which meet with some success in the USA thanks to the plateformSoundcloud. Soon after, he joined the American group of beatmakers called Young Ho Collective.
These last two years, Twani has found himself producing for multiple afro-beats songs on the label Orpik, as well as on some of James Stewart’s music. | Track list | Track | Artist | Title | | 1 | Awori / Twani | Intro | 2 | Awori / Twani | Sawa | 3 | Awori / Twani | Viscera | 4 | Awori / Twani | Mindful | 5 | Awori / Twani | Ranavalona | 6 | Awori / Twani | Hold Me | 7 | Awori / Twani | Nkomawo | 8 | Awori / Twani | Cortex Iuxta |
